Endodontics - Root canal treatment

Endodocy (Endodontics) is a branch of dentistry that deals with the treatment of root canals of the teeth, i.e. by treating the soft tissues of the teeth. Our teeth are made up of hard tissues such as enamel, dentin, and cementum and soft tissues such as dental pulp. The dental pulp is permeated with nerve fibers, i.e. represents a tangle of nerves, blood vessels, and other auxiliary tissue that nourishes the tooth protects it from harmful influences, and gives it a feeling (warm, cold, pain, bite, etc.). Endodontic therapy is a process of treating the nerve of the tooth, which aims to remove the infection and protect the exposed tooth from possible future attacks by microorganisms. This series of processes is called root canal cleaning. Root canals and surrounding pockets in the tissue are cavities inside the tooth that contain nerve tissue, blood vessels, and other cellular entities.

Endodontic therapy involves the removal of these structures, subsequent shaping, cleaning, and decontamination of cavities with small files and rinsing agents. After endodontic surgery, the tooth will be 'dead', but in fact, it is still being nourished through the lateral canals. In our office, this procedure is completely painless and is performed under local anesthesia.

Infected, traumatized, or dead pulp is removed by endodontic treatment or root canal treatment. With this procedure, we manage to cure the patient's tooth and keep it in the jaw, and of course to relieve the pain.
